Program Objectives:
1. To Satisfy current and future needs of qualified staff in medical education
2. Development of the medical education department and promotion of researches in health professions education and recent advances in educational programs
3. Understanding of concepts and principles and theories of medical education
4. To enable candidates to design and implement health professions programs with the ability to upgrade these programs through evaluation and monitoring
5. Ability to implement principles, concepts and standards of program evaluation
6. Ability to implement concepts and standards of student evaluation
7. Ability to implement the strategies and standards of total quality assurance and academic and institutional accreditation in the field of medical education
8. Ability of the candidates to provide the required educational support to undergraduate students and faculty in the area of faculty development
9. To enable candidates to acquire principles of leaderships, administration and organization in the domain of medical education
10. Ability of designing and implementing researches in the area of medical education as well as practicing the critical appraisal of evidence
